These settings allow you to customize which items are shown on the Windows XP enhanced Start Menu.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value or modify the values from the list below setting them to either: "0" to disable the item, "1" to show the item or "2" to expand the contents.

  • Start_ShowControlPanel - Control Panel
  • Start_ShowMyComputer - My Computer
  • Start_ShowMyDocs - My Documents
  • Start_ShowMyMusic - My Music
  • Start_ShowMyPics - My Pictures
  • Start_ShowNetConn - Network Connections

    You may need to restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

    Note: These settings will not effect the Start Menu in Classic mode.

    Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
    Value: (0 = hidden, 1 = open when clicked, 2 = expand contents)
